JUH Announces INR 5 Lakh Aid for Each Family of Martyrs in Sambhal Police Firing

New Delhi, 28 November 2024: The recent police brutality in Sambhal has shocked the conscience of the nation. Jamiat Ulama-i-Hind strongly condemns this inhumane act and vows to seek justice for the victims and secure the release of innocent detainees. Addressing an emergency meeting in Rajabpur, Amroha, President of Jamiat Ulama-i-Hind, Maulana Mahmood Asa’d Madani, assured unwavering support to the victims and their families.
Maulana Madani announced financial assistance of INR 5 lakh for the family of each deceased victim and pledged full support for the treatment of the injured. He assured that Jamiat Ulama-i-Hind would stand by the affected families to alleviate their suffering and uphold their dignity.
To ensure swift and coordinated action, a relief committee has been constituted, comprising representatives from the districts of Sambhal, Amroha, and Moradabad. The committee will be led by Hafiz Muhammad Shahid, President of Jamiat Ulama-i-Sambhal. Additionally, a legal committee will be formed to provide robust legal assistance to the victims and detainees.
During a visit to TMU Hospital, Moradabad where injured victims are being treated, Jamiat Ulama-i-Hind General Secretary Maulana Hakeemuddin Qasmi criticized the police for their inhumane treatment. He strongly objected to the shackling of injured individuals and alleged that the police were coercing detainees to alter their statements, an act he termed as unlawful and unjust.
Earlier today, a delegation led by Maulana Hakeemuddin Qasmi met with the families of injured victims at TMU Hospital.
The emergency meeting and hospital visit were attended by several prominent leaders, including Maulana Hakeemuddin Qasmi, Maulana Qari Shaukat Ali, Mufti Affan Mansoorpuri among others. Hafiz Muhammad Shahid (Convenor), Maulana Anas, Qari Yamin (Amroha), Maulana Abdul Ghafoor, Hafiz Dildar, Mufti Arbab, and Maulana Ghayur Ahmed Qasmi (Delhi).
The Jamiat delegation included Maulana Ghayoor Ahmed Qasmi, Maulana Shafeeq Ahmed Qasmi, and Maulana Waheeduz Zaman Qasmi, alongside Maulana Hakimuddin Qasmi.
The meeting and delegation also saw participation from various regional representatives, including Hafiz Mohammad Shahid, President of Jamiat Ulama Sambhal; Maulana Abdul Ghafoor, Vice President; Maulana Nadeem Akhtar, General Secretary; Qari Riazuddin; Maulana Kalamuddin, Imam and Khateeb of Paramount Mosque, Moradabad; Maulana Mufti Abu Bakar Mansoorpuri; Mufti Abdul Haq Qasmi; Qari Nafees; Haji Naseem,Moradabad; Maulana Abdul Jabbar Joya; Maulana Anas; and Salman Bhai.A relief committee has also been formed, which includes members such as Maulana Shahid, Maulana Anas, Qari Yameen from Amroha, Maulana Abdul Ghafoor, Hafiz Dildar, Mufti Arbab, and Maulana Ghayoor Ahmed Qasmi from Delhi.
